Biography
Wykeham Professor of Ancient History at Oxford, 1910-1939. President of the Folklore Society, 1924-1926. President of the Hellenic Society, 1935-1938. Exacavated at Cyprus on behalf of the Cyprus Exploration Fund and the British School at Athens. Helped to form one of the largest collections of Cypriot antiquities held at the Ashmolean Museum.
