Biography
Boase has held various remarkable positions throughout his academic career. He was Director of the Courtauld Institute of Art in London from 1937 to 1947 and a Trustee of the National Gallery (1947–53) and the the British Museum (1950–69). He also served in various capacities in other notable British institutions.
