Scope and Contents
This box contains index cards arranged thematically and geographically, mainly regarding archaeological sites and monuments across Italy, with a particular focus on Sicily (Agrigento, Calscibetta, Catania, Cefalù, Erice, Mount Etna, Messina, Monreale, Palermo and Segesta), Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum and Ostia. Places are arranged in alphabetical order and include numerous sites in Campania and Lazio, such as Benevento, Boscoreale, Cumae, Ferento, Licenza and Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli, to name a few. The Campagna di Roma and the Roman road system with the Appian Way and the Via Prenestina are also part of this set.
