Scope and Contents
This series includes correspondence relating mostly to the restitution of material from Montecassino theft, list of photos of damaged monuments, copies of final reports issued by the Subcommission for Monuments, Fine Arts and Archive (MFAA) on the damage occurred in the Italian regions as well as various reports on German activities between 1943 and 1945. Correspondence between J.B. Ward-Perkins and Ferdinando Forlati on monuments in Veneto dated 1947 and letters sent to David W. Richardson in 1977 regarding German movement of objects from Montecassino. Also a t Ringler's report (26 June 19449 as well as Carlo Anti's report (23 June 1945).
