Scope and Contents
Contains lantern slides arranged in numerical order from B.08004 to B.08514. Subjects include building structures, Etruscan tombs, archaeological sites in Sicily (Valle dei Templi, Agrigento and Taormina) and Campania (Paestum and Cumae), excavations in Malta, views of the Campagna di Roma and photographs of monuments and sites in Sardinia. The Roman Forum and the Fora in Rome, the archaeological site of Ostia, as well as various photographs of places in Lazio (Falerii Novi, Fano, antiquities and galleys from Nemi, prehistoric walls in Alatri and Segni) are also included in this set, together with a picture of the so-called tomb of Virgil in Naples after restoration.
