Ager Faliscus, 1958 - 1980, bulk: 1966 - 1971

 Series

Scope and Contents

Part of the South Etruria Survey, directed by John Bryan Ward-Perkins, Director of the BSR from 1945 to 1974.

This excavation was initiated by John Bryan Ward-Perkins though, initially, the explorations did not concern only the Ager Faliscus area, but were conducted also on other portions of territory in its proximity. Ward-Perkins, then, decided to research further and in 1956-1957, the Faliscan area became a site for an archaeological excavation project which Tim Potter, Rome Scholar in 1966-1968, led for a few years. This documentation retraces his research.
