Scope and Contents
This sub-series comprises 5 boxes of photographs and prints, broadly grouped by subject matter. Constituent records include photographs of architecture, palaces, buildings, the remains of the ancient city, images from various early commercial photographs (including Vittorio Alinari, Giacomo Brogi, James Anderson, the Servizio di Fotoriproduzione Capitolino, Adriano de Bonis, and Pompeo Molins), Roman sculpture, topographical maps, archaeological sites in places outside of Italy (including in Greece, Turkey and India), and a set of photographs of Villa Albani Torlonia (home of the cardinal, collector, and antiques dealer Alessandro Albani).
