Historical note
These plates featured in the 1893 publication, 'Photographische Einzelaufnahmen Antiker Sculpturen' [English: 'Individual Photographs of Antique Sculptures'] by the German classical archaeologists Paul Arndt (1865-1937) and Walther Amelung (1865-1927). Eugénie Sellers assisted with the preparation of, and research for, this publication during her time spent living in Munich [c.1891-1893], wherein she worked closely with - and under the tutelage of - German classical archaeologists, notably Adolf Furtwängler and Ludwig Traube.
