Lethaby, W. R. (William Richard), 1857-1931 (British architect and architectural historian)
Biography/Historical Note
He was born in 1857.After various experiences in different architecture firms and after travelling to France, he entered to Royal Academy Schools in 1880. He was co-founder of the St. George's Art Society, later the Art Workers' Guild. In 1889 he founde the furtniture making firm of Kenton and Co. From 1900 to 1918 he was first professor at the Royal College of Arts. He died in 1931.
