Biography/Historical Note
He was born in 1863. He studied at the Royal Academy Schools and at the Architectural Association. He established his own practice in 1894.Since 1912 he was the editor of "The Builder". He was appointed Professor of Architecture at the University College in London and in 1934 he was awarded the Royal Gold Medal by the RIBA. He died in 1953.
