Tod, Murray Macpherson (Scottish printmaker)

Biography/Historical Note

Etcher, engraver and artist, born in Glasgow. Studied at the Glasgow School of Art before moving onto the Royal College of Art. After the Second World War, Tod moved to Edinburgh, with his partner Marjorie Lucas, where he taught at the Edinburgh College of Art between 1949 and 1959. Tod is known especially for his landscapes scenes depicting Scotland, Italy and Spain.
