Biography/Historical Note

Painter, printmaker and draughtsman, born in Sedgfield, Durham. Studied at Accrington and Coventry Schools of Art and later at the Royal College of Art. Rome Scholar in Engraving 1931-32. Returning to England, Hall taught his craft in London at the Central School of Art (1947-52) and in the School of Graphic Design, Kingston School of Art (1965-71).
