Biography/Historical Note
Wedgwood was born in Leek, Staffordshire. After service with the Army during the First World War, he studied at Liverpool School of Art and later at the Royal College of Art, London. He secured the Rome Scholarship in Engraving in 1925. He was known especially for his precise, evocative architectural engravings. After returning back home, Wedgewood spent over 20 years teaching at the Liverpool College of Art.
