Scope and Contents The Biferno Valley survey was an archaeological project conducted by Graeme Barker in the area of the same name, region of Molise. The main campaigns took place between 1974 and 1978, but the series includes later documents relating to the preparation of publications. It was a PhD project that Graeme Barker started at the BSR (director: John Ward-Perkins), and inspired in its method and intentions by the South Etruria survey conducted in the 1950s and 1960s.
